The scheme concentrates on 2 key issues:
Recycling
Recycling policies shall encourage reusing items considered by our Clients disposables. The program aims at reducing significantly the amount of waste generated by 5àsec on a daily basis – both when it comes to the company and Clients.
Any examples? Wire hangers are core elements of dry cleaning activities and are supplied in large numbers. A program initially implemented in Switzerland enabled customers to return their hangers back to the store. Due to the success of the scheme, it has been extended to all 5àsec stores.
Alongside this program we have introduced to 5àsec stores eco – friendly reusable individual covers for laundry. You too can contribute to limiting the use of traditional plastic bags.
Optimizing energy and water consumption
Optimizing our use of energy is our priority. This is the reason why we have introduced solutions to reduce significantly our consumption of water and electricity. Effective dispensing and water recycling help us to fulfill our objectives. Since 2012 we have reduced our water and energy consumption.
